New Delhi: Gold prices rose 136 rupees to 50,381 rupees per 10 grams in futures trading on Wednesday, as speculators created new positions in firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for December delivery traded higher at Rs 136, or 0.27 percent, at Rs 50,381 per 10 grams on a turnover of 14,802 lots.
New positions accumulated by participants led to an increase in gold prices, analysts said.
Gold prices rose 0.46 percent to $ 1,903.40 an ounce in New York.
